Specialist Disciplines

Minimally Invasive Surgery

MEDICON offers a wide range of instruments, endoscopes and devices for use in the field of laparoscopy, arthroscopy and sinuscopy. An extensive selection of accessories and specialist instruments for endoscopic incision of the carpal ligament and endoscopic face-lifting complete the product portfolio.

Dismantable instruments are also more economical in addition to being easier to clean. Cutting components can easily be replaced without having to exchange the complete instrument.

A new generation of compact lenses in endoscopes can be fully autoclaved over a prolonged period. Newly designed rod lens systems ensure that the image is not too bright. The endoscopes are also characterised by natural colour reproduction, even sharpness of the image and optimal depth sharpness.

Microsurgery for general surgery

An extensive range of needle holders, scissors, forceps, clamps and clips are available for microsurgical procedures. The instruments are characterised by ease of use, precision, a balanced design and high-quality materials.

The quality of the instruments used to prepare, cut and suture is of fundamental importance for the successful outcome of microsurgery. In addition to stringent quality requirements, the individual design requirements of surgeons must also be taken into account, e.g. the shape of the handle and operating parts. All MEDICON products satisfy these requirements.

MEDICON micro scissors are available with flat handles, rounded handles and light metal handles in various lengths and cutting designs. Bayonet-shaped handles and cutting with the unique Supercut blades extend the product range.

MEDICON micro forceps for grasping, preparing and suturing are also available with flat handles, rounded handles and light metal handles as well as bayonet-shaped handles. The wide selection of various lengths and working tips in various designs such as pointed, blunt, straight, curved and angular caters for the most varied of requirements.

MEDICON micro needle holders have flat or rounded handles, light metal handles or bayonet-shaped handles. Most models are available with or without a ratchet. A selection of models with metal carbide inlays further extends the product portfolio.

In particular, we would like to point out the scissors, forceps and needle holders with light metal handles in the Medicon "micro 2000" range. These instruments are particularly easy to handle and guarantee fatigue-free procedures due to their light weight and optimum balance between the handle and functional parts.

The "Koshima" ultrafine microsurgical instrument set consists of ultrafine micro needle holders and -scissors together with micro vascular clips and micro forceps for extremely precise application.

The finest clamps and clips for preparing, holding and closing small vessels and tissue structures according to Biemer, DeBakey and Diethrich, etc. are available. Some are made from titanium.

Modern micro surgery is no longer feasible without the use of microscopes. All MEDICON micro instruments are perfected beneath the microscope by experts in order to guarantee optimum design and function mainly of the delicate cutting and grasping components.
